Menu: The Menu Bar

The Menu Bar is displayed at the top of the GeNIe window. GeNIe has three menu bars: one when no network is open, two, when a network is open in the workspace and third, when a network is open and the diagnostic features are enabled. The Menu Bar displayed in when no network is open is a subset of the Menu Bar when some network is open and the Menu Bar displayed when diagnostic features are enabled is similar to the latter, except that it has one more menu: Diagnosis.

The complete Menu Bar looks as follows:

Control Icon [ ]: Clicking on the Control icon displays the Control Menu. For a detailed explanation of each command in the Control Menu see Control Menu section.

File Menu: Has commands for creating a new model, opening, saving and closing a model and printing a model For a detailed explanation of each command see File Menu section.

Edit Menu: Has commands for cutting, copying and pasting elements of the model, searching for an element and selecting multiple elements. For a detailed explanation of each command see Edit Menu section.

View Menu: Commands for viewing and hiding the toolbars windows and Status Bar of GeNIe, selecting format of labelling for nodes, and displaying the Spreadsheet. For a detailed explanation of each command see View Menu section.

Tool Menu: Commands for selecting the various drawing tools for drawing different type of nodes. For a detailed explanation of each command see Tool Menu section.

Network Menu: Commands for displaying the network properties, updating the model, setting the no. of samples, clearing target nodes and evidence, selecting appropriate algorithm to be applied, and selecting the policy evaluation method.For a detailed explanation of each command see Network Menu section.

Node Menu: Commands for displaying the Node properties, changing type of node, setting evidence and control value and Target, clearing evidence, selecting view type of the node, and locating relations of the node. For a detailed explanation of each command see Node Menu section.

Diagnosis Menu: Commands for using the diagnostic features of GeNIe. See Diagnosis Menu section.

Layout Menu: Commands to adjust grid properties, and layout options for the nodes. For a detailed explanation of each command See Layout Menu section.
