The Standard toolbar is a bar with buttons that offer quick mouse shortcuts for a number of menu commands. It can be made invisible using the toggle command Toolbar / Standard on the View menu. It can be also moved to any position within GeNIe application window. To move the toolbar from a locked position, click on the vertical bar at the left edge of the toolbar and drag it to its destination.
Each of the commands of the Standard toolbar have been described in detail within the menus available from the Menu Bar. Please see the respective menu pages for more information on each command.
File Menu commands

Create a New document.
Open an existing document.
Save the active document under its current name and format.
Print the active document.
Edit Menu commands
See Edit menu for a detailed description of the command corresponding to the tool of interest.
Cut the selected object from the document and store it on the clipboard.
Copy the selection to the clipboard.
Paste the contents of the clipboard at the insertion point.
Find a node/submodel in the Graph View.
Tool Menu commands

The tool button that you choose becomes recessed on the toolbox. Each tool, with the exception of the Select tool, works in regular and "sticky" mode. When working in regular mode, the tool returns to Select each time it has been used. This is useful whenever you want to add one node of a given type or add one arc. In the sticky mode, the tool that you choose does not return to the Select tool. To invoke the regular mode, simply left-click once on the button. To invoke the sticky mode, double-click on the button.
The Select tool allows for selecting objects in the Graph view.
The Zoom tool allows for magnifying or shrinking the Graph View. See Zoom Percentage also.
The Chance tool allows for drawing a chance node.
The Deterministic tool allows for drawing a deterministic node.
The Decision tool allows for drawing a decision node.
The Value tool allows for drawing a Value node.
The Submodel tool allows for creating a submodel.
The Arc tool allows for drawing an arc. If the Cost Graph View is activated. Then this button changes to the Cost Arc tool.
Cost Arc tool. It allows for drawing cost arcs.
The Text box tool allows for creating a text box.
Open Parent submodel is active only if a Graph View window for a submodel is active. Clicking on the button opens a Graph View window for the parent of the submodel.
Network menu commands

Update the network.
View menu commands

Toggles display of the Tree View window.
Toggles display of the Output window.
Zoom Percentage: Displays the current zoom level of the Graph View. The zoom level can be selected from the menu or can be changed using the Zoom Tool shown above in the Tool Menu Commands section.
